Newbie Question :- How do i check what firmware i have ?

[just wondering]

Hi , this is my first post , great forums , i was wondering , i have a nokia 6230 , how do i check which firmware i have and how do i update the fireware ? i have ordered a data cable which is on its way , but i'm also unsure as to where i grab the latest firmware from ?

1. *#0000#
2. Flasher Box (Griffin, Prodigy etc)
3. You cannot upgrade firmware with a data cable.

Moved to DCT4 Flashing / Upgrading / Modding.
