N-gage original audio handsfree/earpiece

Just wondering as the original N-gage audio handsfree/earpiece has two pins. If i want to use the N6510 radio handsfree/earpiece, can i use it to listen to radio and when i recieve a call, it will mute and i will use it as a mic?

yes it works, u need to swithc on "mute on call" though

There are two pin holes on my N-gage. When i plug my normal earpiece into the grey color hole, i can listen to the radio but i could use the answer button on the earpiece to answer my calls. However if i plug the earpiece into the black color hole, i can use the answer button but could not listen to the radio. :???:

I would like listen to the radio AND use the earpiece answer button to answer my calls.

How do i solve this problem? Or i can only use the original two pins earpiece?

if you look closely at the pins you'll see the difference, the gray pin is divided into 4 parts separated by those black rings. this particular pin is basically used for sending the control instructions to n-gage from your device which contains the microphone-also. the other pin is just used for sending the sound signal from n-gage (or any other cell phone) to ear piece and mic & vice versa to phone. so it is elementry that the gray pin carries control signals as well as sound signal in conjunction to it. thats why you have to pins on n-gage, also it has stereo sound out put available on it. ;) :-)
