random questions about Nokia 6600 i need help with please

been playing around with mine., so i'm gunna use this thread to post all my questions in that hopefully you people can help me with

I put ETI Camcorder Pro, when i open it it just says "betta expired".
Also put on Geopod, when i open it is says "App. closed Geopod".
So I wanna delete them. I don't really know how, but when i go onto the aplication and press the 'c' button for either of them, i get "unable to delete *app name*'. What am I doing wrong?

Also, what does the pencil button do? So far I have not found a situation that it does anything!

Ah! Figured out how to deleete it!

I justy installed Doom. it doesn't take up the entire screen, is that right? like it does width way, but not height. i think thats right to keep it in proportion? Or is it because its a 7650/3650 game on 6600?

It sounds like you have an old version of eti, try finding another version or even better get philips camcoder.

Geopod doesn't work on the 6600 but Geopod XE does (it's the same but with more tracks/pods).

To delete stuff go into the tools folder and open the icon called "manager" and delete them through that.

The pencil button brings up the t9 menu while inputting text, it can also highlight and copy/paste text if you hold it down. When you are in normal menus the pencil button can be held and used to mark/unmark multiple items and if you hold the button while starting up the phone it makes it enter safe mode.

You can change the screen format in the options.

i've put both FlexiCam Pro and Philips Camcoder Pro - are these decent ones yto use? if not, which should i use?

how do i change the stuff in my "go to" menu?

Is there a way that i can make the top left key go to FlexiCam Pro instead of to the standard/stock camera program?

Philips is definately the best video recorder, flexicam is probably tied for first place with camera fx 2, either is fine.

You can add stuff to the "go to" menu using the options in there but you can't add anything you installed, only pre-installed apps, which sucks. It's the same for the softkey shortcuts, they can be changed in the settings but only to other pre-installed apps.

Ok, my next question is regarding Ultra MP3 Player, how do i make it play multiple MP3's after each other automatically, instead of exiting the program and opening the next MP3 file afterwards? My MP3's are saved on my memory card in a folder called 'MP3'...

Any recomendations for the best Remote control program? You know, so I can control my TV and stuff?

u can use AppMan to add installed programs to "go to" or "favorites" as they call it on OS 6.1

open appman then just go to the right most tab (installed applications) then select ur desired application, press option and then select add to favorites. and presto! it will add a short cut to goto menu. :D

In ultra mp3 go to the playlist screen and press the left softkey, the "rescan file system" option will appear, choose it, a few seconds later a list of all the compatible file on you phone will appear, then select the first one and press play.

Total ir remote by psiloc is the only remote control program.

is there a way i can shift the two games that came with my 6600 to the memory card to free up some phone memory? i'm talking about mixpix and snake ex. or can i just delete them all together?
is there anything else i can do to free up some phone memory?

Mix pix and snake ex aren't stored on C they are on Z, your rom so deleting them isn't possible and even it it were you couldn't save any space on phone memory.

To save phone memory set everything (vids, pics, sounds, sms) to save to mmc and don't install anything to phone memory except fexplorer (it's small and every handy if your phone is goosed). You'll still loose some phone memory due to some files (games saves, reg files, etc) being stored on the phone but I've got hundreds of things installed and there's still more than 4Mb free which is enough.

So I removed my MMC and deleted all the messages stored on my phone, bar one, I now have 4.48MB's of free phone memory (I'm pretty impressed with that)! However, I am unable to delete the 1 message that I have left on my phone memory, it just won't let me! It's an '*.sis' that I sent via Infra-Red to my phone. I installed it, and now it won't let me delete it. I've tried reinstalling the program and uninstalling the program and then deleteing it, but neither worked!

Antoehr thing is that I have installed Daedalus 3D onto my MMC, nwo it's put a folder in my gallery with all it's files in. Is there a way I can change some setting so that this doesn't show up in the gallery?

Also, when you attach a thumbnail to a contact, when they call you, will that thumbnail display on the screen while the phone rings?
