Both ebgames.com and gamestop now have the release date set to the middle of november- it was supposed to be out tomorrow  . This delay might be related to gamespot's fairly negative preview of the game.

"n general, the build we played of the game suffered from rampant slowdown, which made the game hover around 10 frames per second, though this number was somewhat even smaller during large firefights. Add to this a clunky look-control feature (which inefficiently incorporates the use of the N-Gage's keypad) and an inconsistent auto-aim, and Call of Duty definitely has a ways to go before it hits retails shelves with a fully functional single-player element"
Gamespot
ps. every game nowadays is pushed back, always, so I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

Because Nokia didn't pay them enough cash

but when the game is laggy (like in Ghost Recon - multiplayer) you just cant play it... so i'm OK with waiting a month  the game must rock

I suppose it's better to have a fluent and playable game and wait a while, then have a game that is laggy, and can often be unplayable...

I'm a bit worried, I watched the "updated" gameplay movie on IGN last night, it still looks just about as playable as Far Cry on a Commodore64.
