Printing Nokia 6600 SMS texts

Can anyone advise how I can read and print Nokia 6600 SMS texts? I have backed up my 6600 data to my PC and all events and texts appear to be in individual .dat files. These are either encrypted, compressed or stored otherwise as I cannot read the text with a traditional word processor.
