Rsmmc cant be detected by mmc card reader?

a frend of mine has a 7610, and his mmc card reader cant detect the rsmmc, yet can detect a normal mmc :-?

anyone knows y? how can he make it be detected?

want to know it as well..my card reader also can't detect rsmmc but normal mmc can be detected.

nk_au once told me that he didn't encounter such probs, proly specific card readers could not detect rsmmc's...

i would suggest to buy another card reader and bring ur rsmmc for it to be tested.

i had these problem before when i first purchase 7610... the free 64 mb rs mmc cant be read by my card reader... i bought a 256mb kingmax rs mmc.. it can be read... i came to learn from some1 from nokia that then free rs mmc they gave are a little different from those we bought from IT shops... i remeber that was a time when im working in a IT shop.... the nokia shop manager came to us and borrowed a card to read the nokia mmc when 7610 first came out... he came back to us and said the rs mmc cant be detected...
so maybe ur friend is trying to read that nokia rs mmc ....i believe if he used other branded rs mmc ... there will not be a problem ... i once saw nokia seller their very own card reader... maybe they are trying to sell their card reader by making their rs mmc speacial......

mine reads both mine fine :-? i guess its just down to the individual media readers
