Docomo/Foma Phones

Hey guys great forum you have here, very informative.......does anyone here know much about DOCOMO phones and will they work with a regular sim card? The ones that take sim cards are meant to be triband/world phones but i've heard that they will only accept the FOMA card and not a regular sim. If this is the case is it possible to reprogram it to accept regular sim cards?

Docomo FOMA phones are not designed to use another network SIM card, when Docomo phones are created.
Docomo has just started making UMTS/GSM phones but they are not designed to use another network either so far.
That means, there is no way to unlock it. doen't even exist sim locking or sim unlocking like other phones such as Nokia, Motorola etc....

But, Docomo is planning to creat its phones to deal with Motorola(may be Nokia too), so I'm looking forward to see what Docomo does about SIM.
Hope that Docomo doesn't customize too much like Docomo's current models.
