Another S60 phone is what we need. 7610, 6260, 6670, 6630 isn't enough. And it's got Visual Radio!

All Nokias S60 phones look more or less strange, with the exception of 6600 and 6260.

Strange and gay looking? It looks like the sony ericcson t610 or some normal phone, it's perfect. No more of this fat curviness, no more of this bulk displacement or wierd arrangements (e.g. 6600 and 6630 curves, 3650 and 7610 keypad). Compare the specs below with 7610, this thing is tiny. Seems to me that it's gonna be the not-for-the-millionaire-businessman version of the 6630. It's projected with a 350 dollar price tag, and is part of the 3000 line, implying it's intended for people like us. But both have the same camera, same wireless data capabilities, same software. This looks like it's gonna be the phone we've all been waiting for. And considering this is meant to be a media and gaming phone, I'm guessing we're exactly the people Nokia made this phone for.

Release date: Q1 2005
Symbian series 60 version ??? (probably v8.0, includes similar movie and pic s/w as 7610)
1.23 MP camera (same as 6630)
tri-band 900/1800/1900 mhz with EDGE data
65,000 color screen, 208x176 resolution
hot-swappable RS-MMC slot
stereo MP3 player and FM radio (!!!)
Bluetooth, including printer profile
Themes
Included games, unlike 7610 and 6630 ("Agent V" uses motion of phone to control game)
109 x 49 x 19 mm, 110 grams (7610 size!!!)
4hr talktime 230hr standby

check the first link to Nokia's site in the thread for other specs.

She ain't half bad. I'd like to recomend that all of you planning on getting the over-hyped 6630 hold off. Instead of spending 600 dollars you can spend 350 dollars, get a better product (smaller w/ FM radio), and have 250 left over for two 512MB RS-MMC's and extra battery. The only question this raises for me is: why the hell does the 6630 cost 250 dollars more and the 7610 cost a hundred more? A single quarter shouldn't cause the technolgoy to cheapen up this much. And the 6630 has no advantages over the 3230. My only fear is that they may have skimped on the processor, reverting back to 104 mhz: unlikely, though. The phone drive has been reduced to 6 MB, but that's 2 MB less than 7610 and a helluvalot more features. Perhaps the 6630 business software upped its price, but the 3230 still includes all the software of the 7610 and more. This is as good a value as the 3650 would have been without a keypad on X.

It's a good thing when a new symbian phone is releasing :-)
