Ok, I'm gonna have to disagree with the majority of the folks here- this game blows chunks. Indeed, it may have pretty graphics and a lot of liscenced cars, but that's aout all that it has going for it. The menus are incredibly confusing, and the sollision dection is terrible- when you run into the back of a car, it instantly stops completely, it's like running into a brick wall. It is also rediculously difficult. I'm sorry, but I can't reccomend this game to anyone.

How are the menu's confusing? How are they incredibly confusing? I must admit some of the levels are difficult, but not THAT difficult, can be conquered in a couple of goes.

I found the menus very simple, I really can't see where you'd think they were confusing. I've also got no complaints about the collision detection, if you are going towards oncming traffic you can get very close without actually hitting them, true hitting into the back of other cars slows you down but is that REALLY a flaw?

As for the difficulty well all I can really say is that you suck at games. The learning curve (along with the longevity) are the best things about the game. The first few races are easy then it progressively gets harder but even then you only need to win a % of the races in each championship to win so even if you get a couple of hard tracks you still pass anyway.

Great game.

I think most of us agree when i say this is N-gage at it's best, Asphalt is by far the most amusing game i've ever played on a handheld.
It's not an easy game but even i , a shitty gamer with no skills whatsoever can beat it...

yep the collision detection thing is rather crap, but there are many more good points compared to bad points!

THIS GAME ROCKS MORE THAN GIBRALTER!

I justt hink that there are a lot of things that Gameloft could have done to make this games better. IMOHO, Ghost Recon was a much more polished and enjoyable game.

I really enjoyed Ghost Recon too but after about 1h 30m I had worked my way through the 8 levels and unlocked all the weapons, after that all there is to do is play them again. Asphalt has kept me amused for 4 backshifts now and i'm still only about 70% of the way through it.

BTW there is a motorbike to be unlocked in Asphalt, it's fecking great fun :)

It's the same as in Gran Turismo, the collisions suck because they use liscenced cars.

Ghost Recon is greatest handheld game to me.
Don't think you've played it until you get to play the "expert" level.
Belive me, the "elite" level, which is unlocked on completing the 8 missions of "expert" level, is insanely difficult!
And those "challenge" missions are challenging enough.

I found Ghost Recon to be relatively easy, I unlocked everything possible in the game, and only died a couple of times, but I agree, it is one of the best games out... just the replay value sucks...
