i just bought an mp3 player that used mmcs for expansion, and thus took out the mmc in my 6600, and inserted it into the mp3 player to test it out..before inserting it, it was a 256mb mmc, but after inserting it, my mmc became a 16 mb mmc!!!i tried to format it using the mp3 player, phone, and card reader, but it still continued to be a 16mb mmc  can somebody tell me wad happened?is there anyway for me to reverse this?thx...

SUE!!!! SUE THE DAMN COMPANY SUE SUE SUE. no, just kidding. contact the mp3 player company or take a look at the manual and see if the player would for any reason change the file structure. Make sure when you format it you do so with the correct FAT format and that you use the right block size. Otherwise, i guess god just hates you and ur shite is phucked.

apparently u dun read english too well do u? jk
nwae, i have already tried formatting it by using the mp3 player, my phone and memory card reader. but still can't seem to work..also, i found out that basically my mmc still has a capacity of 244mb, but onli 16mb of it is formatted, the other 228 are listed as unallocated space..is there anyway i can delete that 16mb partition and combine it with the unallocated space, so that i have 244mb, and format it back to fat? :???:

dunno really but perhaps a partioning tool like partition magic can help you out
by deleting the existing partition and creating a new one of 256MB

If i'm not mistaken, the 16Mb that you meant was the formated files...
Btw for your info, all of the MMCs in the world doesn't have a definate capacity... what i mean is that although branded as 256Mb, it turn out only able to provide about 220-245Mb of free space.
Cheers.

well, my card USED to have 244mb of usable space, cuz they juz 256000kbytes of memory inside, juz like the normal hard disk...but after inserting it in my mp3 player, some how, the player formatted 16mb of space, and the rest, 228mb were left as unpartitioned space..i don't really know how to use partition magic..that's the problem..anione help me?
