Hello again :)
Me and my first steps in the "Symbian" world. Now i have that 3650 for a week, found out how to crash it (actually it resets itself then) and came across some strange, sound related hiccups.
First: Using "Philips Camcoder" application to take videos, regardless how i set the quality/fps/size, it will record audio only for the first two seconds. I uninstalled it, rebootet phone, reinstalled it, rebootet again but still - after 2 secs - no more sound. The very same application on another 3650 works absolutely flawless. The difference in the two phones is the FW version (3.13 on mine, 3.18 on the other one) and, of course, the apps that are installed.
What is actually the latest FW version..??
Then there's the sound "play" problem. That is, when i play an mp3 (or ogg for that matter) it isn't exactly loud, but that's ok. I tought "hmm over headphones it would come decent" so i went and tested some. And i got the same strange behavior with a mono-two-ear Nokia original, a fake of the same, and two different simple one-ear headsets: The audio is VERY weak and the phone speaker keeps playing as well! But also very weak.
I tested, and found that: If i play the song first, THEN insert the headset, it will shut the phone speaker OFF and the headset is LOUD. However, after about 2 seconds (again, TWO seconds.... coincidence?) the headset becomes weak again and the phone speaker starts again. Also here, uninstalling and reinstalling the ogg-player didn't help, and the Ultramp3 does the same! So it seems to be phone-related somehow. Is there a setting somewhere that i didn't find yet (i remember seing "default speaker" somewhere but can't remember where that was... certainly not in the "ogg player" settings").
When a call is made, all of the tested headsets behave normally, i.e. loud audio from the headset and none from the speaker/earpiece.
Any help would be appreciated, since i am going on a long trip next sat (8 hours on a bus) and i want to use that phone instead of my MD player, via headset obviously :)
Kindest regards.....
