Hey guys,

I'll be getting a 6260 soon as my contracts nearly up, I would just like to know a few questions. I've been looking around the forums and can't find answers to any of these questions:

1) Does photorite make the resolution 640x480 when the phone is in camcorder mode?

2) When does the light flash on the front? When you receive a message, phone call etc.

3) If photorite does work, when you press the camera button on the side of the phone, can you set it to open Photorite?

4) And finally, what's the sound quality like of MP3's through the loudspeaker? Is it the same as the 6600?

Thanks!

well a just got mine the day so i can help you a wee bit now compared ot my 6600 pics they were 600 by 480 but the ones with the 6260 look smaller somehow but i hve only used mine on the camcorder mode.
question 2 yes the light does flash when u receive a call but i couldn tell you about a message because by the time a get the fone out ma pocket the ringtone has stopped

Hi there :)

1) most likely it won't work at all. I found all camera-related apps except (!) camcoder won't work with the 6260. Even if it works, it will interfer with the originbal camera application. Resolution depends sole on the phone's position, it can not be changed. Stupid, but is so.

2) The light flashes ONLY while receiving a call (phone ringing). It will stay ON while charging (and is impressive bright! Really disturbs when charging over night). No indication of SMS, missed calls etc.

3) no that button only captures using the original "Camera" application.

4) No experience with 6600, but the mp3's play very loud and with excellent quality. But it's mono even over dual (stereo!) headset (you hear on both sides but only one channel). Tip: convert mp3's to 56 kb/s for use on the phone. No audible difference in quality but the files get way smaller, i.e. 1.2 MB instead of 3.5.

My boyfriend got a 6260 and i played around with it a lot... that's how i know this kind of stuff :) Hope i could help......

Kind regards.....

your Thanh

argh..... just borrowed this 6260 from work today... I'm glad I didn't buy one! I was a big fan of 6260s (even more thhan 6630s...), but only before I actually saw one! it's SO ugly...

Nevertheless, I'll be getting a 6230 pretty soon ;) I'm a bit bored with symbians... and I now onw an iPAQ, so why bother with Symbians anyway?

(Don't worry, my precious N-GAGE... I'll never forget you!)

6230? Nice! So did you ever get a chance to compare the sound quality of 6230 with Nokia SmartPhones?
