King of Fighters Extreme review.

I have heard some good things about KoF here. Maybe it's a great game. I haven't tried the beta myself. I have to delete som stuff on my MMC first.

I did however read a review of this game last month, in the Swedish magazine Game reactor. I don't know which version of the game they tried, but I've translated the review:

"King of Fighters Extreme

It could have been so good - the first real fighting game for the N-gage. King of Fighters Extreme supports wireless multiplayer via bluetooth, and is very similar to the best of the series from 1998 when it comes to gameplay. Sadly, all this is wasted because of very frustrating and sloppy game controls. The biggest problem is that all ten number keys on the N-gage need to be used, which of course is completely insane. It often feels more like dialing a long distance number than playing a game, something that almost makes this game unplayable. As if this wasn't enough there is a delay from when you press a button until the character reacts, two negatives which make King of Fighters rotten.
Usually King of Fighters is two dimensional art, but on N-gage the RAM-memory isn't enough which results in jerky animations.
The concept is good. We want to se more fighting games on the N-gage.
But King of Fighters has all the qualities a good fighting game must not have - slow control, bad animation and a messy button layout. Unfortunately we have to wait for a good portable punch-up on the N-gage.

I e-mailed the guy who wrote the review. He told me they gave Elder Scrolls 2 and Asphalt 7 in the latest issue. Other N-gage games they have reviewed are Tomb Raider (7) and Ghost Recon (7).

The points they have made are fair but I don't think they are quite as bad as they make out, I'd give it 6.5/10.

I love this game. The controls seem fine to me & runs good. In my opinion I would rate the game 7/10 but thats just me.

A really good game. Can't wait 4 the game itself 2 come. It's another 1, i wouldn't mind buying straight off the store selves. :)

It's a good game, too slow and kinda crappy sound. Could do with some better graphics, sometimes it seems like the guys up there are telporting.

To fight you have to use only 4 ( FOUR ) buttons, left aside taunt, strikes, ecc, the guy who wrote the review must be idiot or something ...

But has anyone gotten past stage 7 in story mode? I seem to beat the opponent, but it still says "loser". Then I get to "try again". Is this some kind of bug because it's a beta?

Hell Yeah! I like the game 2 Sony_Ericsson. I never go by what reviewers say. I judge 4 myself always. :)

Not that i know of. Ru having some trouble with the beta ver. I didn't know it needed a fix. It plays great on my QD. :)

It's only a beta I think ...
not too bad as a game, but a bit pointless to play against cpu.

Ok, I never get past Stage 7. Annoying but it's only a beta.
BTW, do u know where these "betas" come from? I don't think that they have been released legally.....except maybe to beta testers.

i think KoF has been around for a while, but only a select few had thier hands onit, and as its christmas, they felt generous and thought they'd treat us to a christman prezzie! :lol:

People get their copies to review it and give them to crackers.

It happens everytime, even with albums ( cd's ) and pc games ...
