Today I was along at my mates and just out of interest I tried his 128Mb rsmmc, it didn't work as I expected. Then he got his original 64Mb rsmmc that came with the his 7610 out, I stuck it in and it works :P This might not sound like much to most folk but my 6630 only came with 32Mb and you can't buy the dvrsmmc that it takes anywhere, not even if you go on to nokias site and select accessories for the 6630. Maybe nokia haven't even noticed themselves

I have too found that the original 64MB RSMMC from the 7610 works fine with the 6630. Can't wait to be able to get bigger ones at a decent price though...

DV RSMMC ...

I thought Nokia said they'd start using SD cards.

I don't see a handset with SD-expansion ...

Hey,

I think Nokia were planning the DV rs mmc for a while, must have been I suppose to design the phone, hence why these 7610 rsmmc's are working.
I bet inside they are the new Dual Voltage mmc's the 6630 needs, just with maybe a different sticker.

Do these DV rs's work in a normal card reader ok? I am assuming so as they are dual voltage use.

www.mobilefun.com has a pic of the 6630 64Mb rsmmc and it's exactly the same sticker and everything.

Both my dvrsmmcs work in both of my mmc readers.

Did some 6630's ship with only 32mb DVRS-MMC?

Mine came with 64mb in the box!

Still pathetic mind you but I'm glad I didn't get 32mb!

Sorry for those that did!

I only got a 32Mb card but I think that was because I got the 3G video cradle for free.

mmmm thats weird, I got a Nokia 6630 on Orange last week as upgrade, it came with a 64mb card. I had a 256mb & 512mb RSMMC I had for my 7610 neither of them or the 64mb that came with my 7610 worked???? Ive now sent the 6630 back simply because I cant get any additional cards at the moment, was a nice phone though

Mine came with 32Mb from Vodafone but I got the desktop video stand which can also be used to charge the phone and a bluetooth headset.
Nokia are charging £75 for the headsets in their stores.
It's not such a big deal for me because regardless of whether I got 32Mb or 64Mb I was always going to want a bigger capacity card.

Nokias 32 and 64meg RSMMC cards they supply with all thier phones are all DVRSMMC. My mates 6260 one works in my 6630 as well its the same card its just his works on the upper voltage rather than the lower one.

Expansis recon they will be getting 128 cards in about 6 days. Until they have stock all we can do is wait :(

They supposdly had a shortage of 64 cards and offered to either ship with 64meg cards or ship free stands and 32meg cards instead which is the offer Vodafone took up. This actually works out better for the network as it means there more chancew the user will video call and in the long run better for the punter because as soon as the higher capacity cards come out the 32 and 64meg cards are pretty much going to be usuless anyway so the video call stand will be a lot more usuful to them. Plus the stand is worth a lot more and if nothign else makes a good desktop stand.

The 64meg cards from the 7610 and the 6630 are exactly the same they are DVRSMMC.

If you were lucky enougth to order a 128meg card of Expansis before they ran out they also work. Mobile Fun also list a 128 card but they have no stock currently.
