Hot-Swaping MMC for N-gage :D

i everyone i have succsessfly broke my N-gage :D, (Iv'e modded it) i snaped the side holders for the mmc off, and ive made a little wire plasic thingy ( a lever)that goes underneather the mmc and rests just over the sim card, and when u lift it up the MMC pops out, ill post pics soon :D

Cool, but what if the phone is accessing the card when u remove it? The data could be corrupted or worse, it says in the N-gage QD manual.

Yeah, or someone could make an app that stops all transfers to and from the MMC. ;-)

I'd take my engage apart too if i had 2 of them. Unfortunately I only have 1, heheh. I'd drill a hole at the side to talk normally.

U know Spank3r i was thinking of doing the same thing, but just couldn't bring myself 2 it. So i brought an N-gage QD.

NO! Thx u. This 2 me is not any good @ all. Look @ how the connector & mmc r unprotected in back of the N-gage. The only way 2 protect it, would be 2 buy some kind of completely enclosed case 4 it. Even then water, dirt or whatever would be easy 2 get in the area of the connector & mmc. Not a bad invention, but not well protected from whatever either. :sad:

the MMC will be unproteced? hmmm not good my little device works fine for me, :) the top MMC holder on the n-gage holds it fine, ive made a plasic thing now, that goes on the bottom of the mmc so it easyer to lift up and out, ill post pics when my digi-cam is working

If it could lay further down in the N-gage. Then maybe some kind of siding door 2 close over it. Then it would be truly great 2 have installed on any Orginal N-gage. :D

as for that SURELY the MMC could be placed on the inside of the back cover rather than drilling holes to have it someplace we dont want it :P :grin:

I thank Nokia 4 the N-gage QD. I just can't c myself f*cking up my orginal N-gage. Just 2 have the mmc on the outside back of the cover.
