Nokia N-gage (original) hot-swappable MMC

Hi everyone,

At mash-mods.com, they have come up with a device to be able to load the MMC in an N-Gage on the outer casing so the battery doesn't need to be removed... then they say you can make it "hot-swappable" if you plug in the usb cable and unplug it again so the phone re-initialises the card without restarting.

I was just wondering whether a software could be written that is installed to the phone memory that initialises the mmc without the cable trick?

if you just open and close the music player on the N-Gage it has the same effect as the "cable trick so does accessing the MMC with a file exploring programme such as fexplore
