Hi
I am having a problem unlocking my orange locked Nokia 6600, ive entered code number one but when i insert my card it just switched itself off, i read a similar problem on these pages and it said to try code 5 i got a code error message when i tried this. Any help would be ratefully recieved thank you all and happy xmas!!!

if this is the uk then you should be using code 7

@browntoa, a 6600 can reject a code 7, even if it is generated correctly, when it has 2 locks.
@danbert, you need to enter code 2 as well as code 1

I thought the second lock was lock 5 but if you know better then I'll stand corrected !

Code 5 removes lock 1 and 2, code 7 removes all 4 locks.
The vast majority of phones with 2 locks can use either code 5 or code 7 happily.
The point here is that some phones can reject a multi-lock code (5 or 7) even if it is calculated correctly.
For these you need to enter the "individual" codes, code 1 for lock 1, code 2 for lock 2
The 6600 is one of these phones.
