unrestricted 7250i still asks for restriction code

Help if possible please 7250i unlocked fine with codes read phone restrictiion off. Put in O2 sim and it asks for restriction code, removed sim, reentered code and it says phone was not restricted, can n e one help. The phone is a new orange supplied upgrade which is not needed by me so using it for wife!

try code 5 as well, you sometimes need to open this on Orange phones
