Is there something I can do to get my 1100b working on the network?
They say I need a 1100a :o

Hi friends,

1100 a is working on 900 and 1800 mhz well as 1100b is on 850 and 1900 mhz.

u can replace filter to convert in to 1100a.

Really? I thought that it couldn't be done! the firmware is also different. 1100a uses rh18, while 1100b uses rh36. Does the process involve microsoldering and unsoldering, or am i wrong? I think that, for the equipment investment (box, soldering equipment, etc), it is not worth the money. Better buy a new 1100, that btw are pretty good tough reliable and simple phones.
