Hi,
I've searched through the posts but couldn't find a specific answer.
I've just ordered a new 6230 on Orange Pay as You Go, that I wish to use with my O2 PayG sim.
I'm assuming that it will be a 6230b (RH-28). I have the NokiaFree unlock code generator 3.10 (from this site), but that only lists the 6230a (RH-12).
Questions as follows:
1) Are there any special settings that I need to make to get the code for a 6230b locked to Orange UK (or will it work with the defaults for the RH-12)?
2) Which code(s) am I likely to need to enter out of the 7?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
BisKyt :-?

it's the same settings as the other 6230
you need to try code 1 first (unlike code 7 normally in the UK) then if that does not work then code 7, then code 5.....if none of them unlock then come back and ask !!
only try each code one and make sure you have the correct IMEI number by entering *#06# into the phone as the numbers on the boxes are sometimes wrong

Great. Thanks for the swift reply. Just got to wait for the phone to turn-up in the post now so I can try it. Hopefully it'll arrive today!

Just to let you know that the phone unlocked first time with no problems. I simply entered code 1 returned from the code calc 3.10 (I also checked via the unlock.nokiafree.org online code generator).
Incidentally though, my phone is an RH-12, not an RH-28. Is the 6230b available in the UK, or was it brought-out to fix a reception problem in th US?
Thanks for your help.

I just used the defualt settings that the calc produced for a 6230 on Organge UK. It defaulted to Asic 6
biskyt how long did it take for you phone to come after you placed the order?

About a week. However, I did order it over the Christmas/New year period, which no doubt caused delays. There was also a weekend in the way. Orange quote 2 - 5 days.
I see, "Asic6" is the option I need for 6230. Thanks for all the information.
