View Full Version : Why is Canada lagging so much with phones behind the rest of the world?
The only Symbian phone I can get from my provider is the N-Gage QD, all the other phones are pretty much fossils compared to the world standards, I'm forced to buy my phones on eBay, they never even offered the 6600. I think it's ridiculous, check out the only two GSM providers here: http://www.shoprogers.com/store/wireless/overview.asp and http://www.fido.ca

The Sony P910i offered through Fido is Symbian based (correct me if i am wrong); also Rogers use to offer the N3600 Symbian phone. But my opinion why Canada is so far behind is mainly because the market is not strong enough to support these phones. The providers can offer them but not enough will be sold for them to break even. And also North America is behind in the mobile market -- America receives the advances before Canada.
Your best bet -- Get your phone off eBay or another credible website [it's been working for me]
Good luck in your Quest
