I just saw this app... don't know if it works... I installed it, but I'm in my office and no one else has a BT enabled phone so I can check out by snarfing his SMS and numbers. Download the app here (http://trifinite.org/trifinite_downloads.html)!

The website says:

Since Adam Laurie's BlueSnarf experiment and the subsequent BlueBug experiment it is proven that some Bluetooth-enabled phones have security issues. Until now, attackers need laptops for the snarfing of other people's information. Unless attackers do a long-distance-snarf, people would see that there is somebody with a laptop trying to do strange things. Blooover is a proof-of-concept tool that is intended to run on J2ME-enabled cell phones that appear to be comparably seamless. Blooover is a tool that is intended to serve as an audit tool that people can use to check whether their phones and phones of friends and employees are vulnerable.

Since the application runs on handheld devices and sucks information, it has been called Blooover (derived from Bluetooth Hoover).

it's just a proof-of-concept program. Not a fully-functional one.
Shouldn't attack most upgraded versions of models. Maybe, just maybe on the older version like the 3.42.1 of Nokia :P 6600.

...thx yuppo, managed it by myself just a few minutes after posting, I was a little bit confused, caus mostly they call a file *.rar if it should be renamed to *.jar  ...

...I tryed to attack a K700i, a Motorola v525 and a n6230, but i didnīt work...
...would be fine if everyone writes if it works with some tested phones...

i have a 6600 and i bluesnarfed successfully 2 phones now, but i tried several of them. I really could get their sms... shopping centres are the best to do it, and that's where i did mine!
but there should be a powerful application that could enter on more phones. that would be absolutely brilliant!

its weird, the site ask to rename the bloover.zip to .jar after download.

But it end up being bloover.jar.zip after i rename.

and i can't seems to get it install on QD.

what is the correct procedure then?

thanks in advance.

Had 2 positive results using my 6600...

Not sure of the target phone models.

Got all numbers from both & sms from 1 of the 2.

Only thing though, when it finished it alerted the other phone and gave my bluetooth name away. Don't know exactly what it said on his screen though, since I've no idea who he is

the reason y u cant rename the file is becuase ur settings are hiding the file Extensions.

to enable this, go in to any folder (e.g. My Documents) then when in the folder click on tools, Folder Options, click on the VIEW tab on the menu box,

then scroll down to - Hide known Extension types and Unclick tht..

then all files should have extensions on them now and u can now rename it! ;)

Yeeeeees. Thanks lol.
I was told Bloover was a concept program so you couldn't actually do anything with someone elses phone.

Are you saying you could with the software d/l from the official website? Or is there a hacked version out there?

Yeah, the normal version from the official site. Just been looking at pics on google images... Think one of the positives was a 6310....Is that a fairly old model??
