Hi all.

Anyone know how to get IDA to disassemble a .sis file ? (symbian 7.0)

Suposedly IDA supports sis epoc files etc. - But no matter what i do, it refuses
to disassemble anything that has even remotly to do with symbian

Any Help appriciated

Kind Regards Dr.Bizar

A .sis file is a compressed archive (like a .zip). First you need to extract the files using an app such as unmakesis.exe. Then, you can disassemble the .app file from the archive in IDA. Select ARM as the processor type.

Sry about the above post - didn't make myself clear. I did exploded the .sis before disassembling. Trying to disaaseble the .app (EPOC.idw)

Normaly i'm using ARM studio - but IDA is so much more advanced.
I'm havin no problems with x86 execs just arm. Could it be IDA fails to load recourses ?

BTW amyone know when they are going to swtich to pure thumps code ?

I'm using IDA pro 4.7 standars and 4.31 pro

Load your app with idapro
somewhere at the beginning it says CODE32.
Do a click with the mouse there and press Alt+g.Change 0x0 to 0x1 to switch to thumb (note that this does not work on 4.7)
