How do i create wav tones???

hi guys.....i used to create wav tones long back using a compresser called droopy eyes or something and also an audio cutter.....i cant remember which softwares i used to use....could any one please gimme the names of the softwares used to create wav tones....

If you are talking about using a PC for this, you can check out Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)

It is an Open Source sound editor.
