5165/6360's are TDMA phones and Verizon uses CDMA. BUT, they are both multi network phones so technically, the AMPS will work, but doubt that Verizon will hook it up. This being said, I have actually seen with my own eyes and held in my hands a TDMA phone that a Verizon sales person (ignorance, not a super hacker) somehow activated as a replacement device for an existing Verizon subscriber with a broken device. She went in to the Verizon store asking if she could use a 5120 to replace her 5185 and the new worker said sure and proceeded to activate it not knowing the difference. Later, when the Verizon customer came to my shop to purchase a CLA and told me that it was on Verizon, I said, "no way" but it was actually active and working at that time. It was operating on analog so the battery life was terrible but it did work. Whether it kept working I don't know but it was working at the time. So....generally, I would say that at 6360 or 5165 would not be able to be used on Verizon's network...BUT...
