I havea 6230 that was on Orange and has been reported lost, so it is blocked on all networks. Is there anyway to unlock this phone, or shall i just see how far i can throw it. Thanks in advance

Unless you can get a proof of purchase of the phone, there's not much to do. The companies blacklist the phones through the IMEI, which is unique to every phone.
The solution would be changing the IMEI of the phone, which is a very -and I mean very- complex process, unless of course you know a lot about phones, or you are studying something relationated with electronics and engineering. As I know, it involves microsoldering and changing a microchip (the one that has the IMEI), and of course, the writing of the new IMEI on the new chip, etc.
In fact, for what I've read from other posters (my experience is limited to unlocking), I think it is still harder to change IMEI with a DCT4 phone compared with the difficulty when doing it whith a DCT3 phone...
Hope this helps a little. Maybe someone who has changed an IMEI can give you some help. Of course, the process is illegal as long as I know. The other problem that you will have, in case you succeed in changing imei, is that it will not match the imei printed in the label of the phone... which is another hundred to go :-P
Best regards
