Hi guys.
This is my problem with Nokia 6630:
every now and then without any apparent pattern there's a small commercial that pops up in the phone. Just like a screensaver, and it turns the light on even if the phone is locked.
The commercial is about my provider and an wap/3g service they offer, Comviq Go Live.

Does anyone have a clue how I can get rid of this disturbing, probably battery consuming - and very, very, very IRRITATING problem I would be the happiest man in the world!
Other than this I really love the phone.

No man... it is not the screensaver.
I have the clock, the default one, I never downloaded or used any other screensaver. This came with the phone and there's no apparent way to shut it off.

I was looking for some tips on perhaps som file to delete somehow.. or something like that.

Oh.. I am very sorry, you're right!
Took me a while to figure out wich setting you meant.. I did not know there was a setting for the screensaver inside the Theme-menu :roll:
So.. is there any way to completely shut it of? :-?

yes, in the settings for the current theme, go to the screensaver option, click on it and there you have three options, Date and time, text and tele2. Change it to Date and time... you can also change the wallpaper in the themes settings...

Hi.. I was wrong again. :o It is NOT the screensaver. It IS some kind of commercial they put in. There's no way of shutting it off. Besides, the screensaver, wich is the default clock, does not turn on the light in the phone like this freakin' thing is doing. It seems to be quite random when it lights up.

If anyone has an idea I would be X-tremely happy! :P :wink: :smile: :grin:

well... then i don't know.. couse i also have comviq go live in my 6630 (yes i'm from sweden) and i also had that anoying thing pop up once in a while... but managed to disable it throu the themes settings, just like i told you...

i had the similar problem when i purchased my 6600

i dont remember exactly how i solved it but i think i called the customer care and i think they rectified it. its the advt which keeps popping up again and again on the screen.
