What do I need to play wmv-video in Nokia 6630? Real player does not work.

Hey,

Short answer mate is that you can't.

Real Player only supporst .RM file types or 3GGP. So your only option is to re-encode using Real Producer.

Another way, which I feel is better is to use Smart Movie. This little app is different again, using .AVI files and so is easier to work with.
Also it comes with it's own converter to make things simple.

Then when you want better quality still take a look on this forum as I have posted settings & instructions on how to make better video's if your MMC has the room.

use a prog to convert most media files (.swf .avi .rm etc) to 3gp its called

Right program for better videos, just wrong version.
Find yourself the latest V2.72 one as it's the one to have.

yes, 1.02 is a bit "old" :wink:
Anyway I suggest u to convert il in .mo file (mobiclip) if u have a full quality video. Smartmovie could display only 15fps videos, with mobiclip 25fps and good audio.

I've got a 6630 and smartmovie works at 25fps no probs. only older symbian phones like my 3650 cant really do above 15fps as the processor is a bit slower. i can see the difference at 25fps on my 6630 straight away!
