6600 unlocking goes wrong

i tried nokia free unlock calculator on my new 6600 purchased from UK with a network lock of Orange.with the 1st code generated it displayed ''sim card restriction off '' . but when i tried a sim in it, it displayed ''sim not valid''. then i tried the 5th code .this time it displayed ''sim card is not restricted''.but again with the sim it displayed ''sim not valid''.what should i do now ?whats wrong.?please help :-? ..............my new nokia 6600 purchased from UK with network lock of ORANGE

try code +5 from the same set of codes of the 1st code you have inputed..
that should do it..

I think he was saying that he tried 1 + 5 codes.

I have exactly the same phone and network and those worked. I tried the +1 and +7 codes first before someone told me to use 1 and 5. (but my phone is over a year old, old firmware too)

How many times have you typed in failed codes? You have to be careful, you only have 5 fails before it locks completly.

Where are the 'Mod Gods' to help? :-)

codes 4 + 6 are never used in the U.K.

try codes in the order code 7, code 1 then code 5(if on Orange) when trying codes in the uk

he's using the right set up as he's not getting code error

cod +7 oes not work in the 6600 because algo is giving worng +7 codes
for asic 5

and like lock +1 is already open
you dont need code 7


code 5 opens lock +2 and +3
code 6 opens lock +1 and +2 and +3
code 7 opens lock +1 , +2 , +3 and +4

so i think you should try code +4

just unlocked 2 x 6600 from orange-uk today.

use code 1 - wait for fone to say "restriction off" then
use code 2 and wait for same message.
then try your other sim :)

try code +5 from the same set of codes of the 1st code you have inputed..
that should do it..

use +2 code from the same set of codes..
if your phone its not totally unlocked yet try the +3 code, else try the code +4...


... but i think your phone is already unlocked after inputing code +5
