Guys sup, been a while since i've started my own thread here on Nokiafree, but i've come up with something rather interesting... I've got Free WAP access on my Symbian Phones. Here's the deal, i'm on Vodafone here in Aus, and using the Inbuilt Browser on my N-Gage QD, i can connect up to any WAP enabled site and surf for free. I had no balance for a whole month, and i was using it like crazy. But it's only when i use the VF AU Live access point, none of the others work.
Recently got my 9500 Communicator, and the same thingy!!! If i use the Opera Browser (built in one), i can use free Internet provided i go through the VF AU Live Access point (VF.internet won't work).
So the whats the GO, is it just some incorrectly entered GPRS and WAP provisoning codes on my Account, or is this a loophole in the System that we can exploit for a while. I'm already upto 876MB of usage on my RED SIM (Prepaid A/c with no balance - use it only for surfing the net)..lol
Something Strange though, i installed Opera on my N-Gage QD aswell as Agile Messenger, they don't seem to work using the VF AU Live Access point, i think they will only work with an proper IAP (Internet Access Point). SO all you Aussie VF users out there, give it a try using VF AU Live as your Access Point, and using the default pre-installed browser, and let me know how it goes... If you have any credit, or balance, you will be charged, but if you have zero you don't even get charged (not even once you recharge!!!)
