I recently got a Nokia 6820b RH-26 with a Cingular 64K SIM in New York City. I tried using the following parameters and entered Code 1 and 7. But it didn't work. I guess my first mistake was using the AT&T Wireless MCC+MNC.

Model: Nokia (DCT4 )
IMEI: 352968002717835
Network: 31038000

#pw+018 403 247 606 307+1#
#pw+009 073 337 722 176+7#

Can anyone confirm if I use these alternate settings as suggested by another thread that it will work. I couldn't find any mention of a 6820b on the Cingular network in New York. Can anyone verify the correct MNC?

Asic 2
Custom (NOT 'V2')
Box Serial (key): 32835

Network: 31017000

#pw+196 874 712 411 524+1#
#pw+916 312 634 446 266+7#

I also have a Nokia 6820b through AT&T Wireless (Cingular). I was in the same boat as you (down to one final attempt) and finally got an unlock code from this guy...

http://www.thetravelinsider.info/_vti_bin/shtml.dll/roadwarriorcontent/nokiaunlocking.htm

He charges $5 for an unlock, but it was well worth it to me! I highly recommend this guy as he seemed to understand that the 6820b models can be tricky. Worth a shot, eh?

That said, I took the code that he gave me and tried to figure out how I might've gotten the same results from the unlock.NokiaFREE.org website! I figured out the settings that would've worked...

- IMEI#: (myIMEI#here)
- Network: USA - AT&T Wireless
- Gen: asic 6
- Nokia Model: Nokia 6800

The code that worked for mine was the very top (+1) code. First shot, phone restriction off. (Whew!!)

Hope that helps.

I have the same phone and SIM (but in upstate in NY)

The network number 31038000 did not work for me. I ended up using the Cingular Pacific Bell Wireless and asic 6 settings on the unlock.nokiafree.org site. This worked one the first try. I used the +1# code.

Seems like there ought to be a way to interogate the phone to find the network number directly.

Details:

IMEI: 3529**********
NETWORK: 31017
PHONE TYPE: 2
BOX: 32821

I agree, I had to use the Cingular Pacfic Bell to unlock this one. Not the ATT one, however the method above worked no issues, 1st code. =)
