Hi guys,

I wanna get a new phone. No, I NEED to get a new phone. I currently have a 3650, and I am still pleased with it, I think it's a great phone! My hubby has just got a 6670 and he likes it?!?! I'm not sure what I should go for as there is soo much choice out now. A few of my friends have got the Samsung E700, which i did like the 'flippability' of it, and the fact that it is small. But I really do wanna stick with nokia. I'd like a smaller one, maybe with fm radio/mp3 player, ability to play games n stuff. I just dunno. I DO like the new 7710 though. I realise it's no smaller than my 3650, I just like the look of it and the features.

Please guys, give me some feedback...

My first piece of advice would be to NOT choose a phone on the basis of its size (within reason, obviously).

I suggest you ask yourself what features of the 3650 you have enjoyed using, during the time you have owned it. I bought a 6230 a while back, and although it is a very nice phone, I could not stand the navikey, which is so squishy that one frequently mis-keys entries. I now own a 6630, and although it is not perfect, the navikey is considerably more tactile than the 6230's and the additional flexibility of the Series 60 (6230 uses Series 40) platform means I can choose applications more freely, which is very nice. The power consumption also seems to compare favourably with the 6230, despite the larger screen on the 6630.

If you do decide to buy another Symbian phone, I strongly urge you to invest in a spare battery (e.g. BL-5C, in the case of the recent Nokias), since they inevitably use up more power than the older, simpler phones (I still adore my 6310i, which lasts literally for days and days - it is a marvellous phone and, at least from a purist standpoint, almost BETTER than anything Nokia have made since!).

Without wishing to be accused of snobbery, I concur with your preference for Nokias - the quality of their hardware, service network, and general ease of use of their menu system is impressive, IMHO.

What is it about the 3650 that you feel needs upgrading (or is it just that the handset itself is getting tired?).

Yeah, my 3650 must be at least 2 years old now, and it's due for a change. I would like a smaller one, just for the fact that i can fit it in my pocket! I just want one that has a decent size screen, with a decent camera, and series 60. I do like the fact that you can pick up any nokia and you know that you will be able to work it out from the second you pick it up! I hope it's not classed as being snobbish! I always thought that nokia phones were 'stupid peoples' phones, (for the reason above, there's no brainwork with them, they are all the same!)

thread moved to lounge.

depends on wat u wan really.

if u wan a small flip phone with cam, radio, mp3, theres a mitsubishi flip phone with 2 mega pixels, mp3 (no radio). dunno if ur country has it.

some nokia phones like 6230 are worth looking at too.
