Hey...!
I just went through my contacts and the settings and I was astonished to see the amount of detail you may enter for each contact! Man 'o man! That is a LOT of info! [sorry for sounding excited but I just bought my 6630 a few days back and after using 6820 for almost a year, its a BIG change!]
I was wondering....is there some way to edit/type this info on my PC and then transfer the updated contacts to the phone via the cable? The supplied Nokia PC Suite has a contact utility but all you can do is add a contact. I am talking about IMPORTING all the contacts from my phone to my PC, manually editing them on the PC, and then updating the contacts on my phone by EXPORTING to the phone from the PC. I remember older phones had this facility through the older versions of the PC Suite and I always liked this feature. Sure beats having to fill out so much info on the small phone keypad, not to mention the entire database that can be entered for each contact on the 6630.
If this facility is unavailable as part of the PC Suite, is there some third-party application that could let me do that? I really would like to use such an extensive database for my contact details. But through my PC....
Anyone?? :-(

You can use Microsoft Outlook or anything like that to put all your contacts in, then connect your phone to your computer and synchronize all the data.

I agreed that you can only see an Add contact on PC suite, dont use that instead, go to 'My Computer' then you see the New ICON named 'Phone Browser' (This icon appeared when you install the 6630 Pc Suite), and wallah click it and you will see a 'Contact icons', click it then you can edit it, just double click the name you want to edit. Make sure that your phone is connected before doing this. Thats all folks. Hope this will help.

I am sorry to say that editing the contacts this way is in no way satisfying. You will not get all the info you set from the phone when opening the contacts, either from My Computor or Nokia PC Suite.
I have been in contact with Nokia about this problem and they do not seem to have any plans on updating the PC Suite unfortunately.

Yes is it!!!! It can do advance edit on your contacts, as you can see on the toolbar, theres more to edit, like thumbnaill, add, etc, so many, just try, its like syncronizing it to ms outlook. i can say this because i use this thing and im satisfied.

I know of the Advanced section. However, if you made som changes in certain fields in the phone and try to open it this way - theese changes is not shown on the putor.
I have a problem, I can not get my 6630 connected via the USB-cabel that came with the phone. I am trying to find it with Active Sync 3.8 but it will not find my phone no matter what I do! Any tips?? :???:

As on the first post, he asked how to edit the contacts to pc and transfer it to the phone, and thats why i suggested the my computer thing on contact editor, my concern is on the first post. And in your case about not showing the changes, i never encountered it and all details i input on my phone are showed on the contacts editor i was said....
Try Reinstall pc suite. And be sure you unplug any device on USB before boot up your pc (ie Infrared), this is to initialized the driver of 6630 USB when you plugin the cable of your 6630. Thats all for now, and im trying to duplicate the problem u encountered.
