Thank you for your email about using your phone on another network.
Your phone can be unlocked at a cost of £15.00. T-Mobile cannot guarantee that all phone features will be compatible with other networks. In some cases a live SIM card is needed to complete the unlocking procedure, however, if you have you an Ericsson phone, a live SIM card is not needed.
To apply for a subsidy pin on pay as you go, you will need to have made your first top up at least 3 months ago.
Payment can be made by topping up your account. You can do this with vouchers, an Electronic Top-Up Card or by using a credit/debit card if one is registered to your account.
Alternatively, if you pay your bills monthly the charge can be applied to your account. You will also need to:
- Have held your T-Mobile account for at least one month.
- Have not requested 3 subsidy pins in the last 12 months.
- Know that if you are still in contract and decide to leave our network cancellation charges will apply.
- Have cleared any outstanding balance before the subsidy pin is released.
- Be aware that you are responsible for checking the compatibility of your phone with the network you intend to use it on.
If you would like to apply for the subsidy pin, please provide the following:
- IMEI number, this is a 15 digit number, which is located underneath your battery. Alternatively, you can enter *#06# to display the number on your phone.
(If you have a Blackberry device, please use the track wheel to scroll to "Hide Call" and press Return. Using the Options menu from the front screen select Status Open to display the IMEI.)
- The make and model of your phone.
- Your mobile number, name and account password.
- Payment of £15.00.
- An alternative contact number.
Please allow up to 28 working days to receive the subsidy pin code.
If you do not have a password, please register one by visiting https://www.t-mobile.co.uk/contactus This will then allow us access to your account whilst ensuring that we comply with our Privacy Policy.
Should you need the subsidy pin sending to you via email or to an international address, please provide all necessary details.
