Nokia 6680 is losing the battle to 6630!!?

If you are asking yourselves, why 6680 is going to be so cheap?
Well there is a simple answer if we can believe in Jbenchmark test results.
It’s because 6680 is pretty worse in performances than 6630! That’s doesn’t mean that 6680 is not amazing good phone, no doubt about that, but my expectations was that 6680 is going to be much, much, much better...
In conclusion: seems that we are getting almost a 200 000 useless and unnoticeable colours and very, very noticeable slowdown in performance!!

Is it such a big deal? None of these phones were made to be gaming phones. The only gaming phone, N-gage has much slower CPU/performance than either of these phones.

I think 6680 will respond fast enough in the menus etc. Could the benchmark results have something to do with firmware?

it was selling for about $1050 SING dollars in singapore...6680.

and i really wanted to change to that from my current 6630...

Well I just bought a 6680, and frankly i kind of disagree with the benchmark...

just like the previous posts say, these are not gaming phones... it's like comparing apples and oranges...

The speed difference IS there but is barely not: BARELY noicable, I never install anything in the phone memory (sonething i learned with the 6630) and all apps are running smoothly.

I do have one complaint though... WHY THE BLOODY HELL WOULD YOU USE UNDERPOWERED LEDS FOR YOUR FLASH NOKIA!!!!!(dumbasses) celarly in the camphone flash market Samsung is the clear winner... Flash LEDs are 10x brighter than this crap on the 6680. Nokia needs to do their hmework somemore.

All in all, the 6680 is the same as the 6630, exept for some OS tweaks and he 2nd camera.

It's really user preference that decides the fate of this phone.

He he, i just figured out the flash yesterday, excellent flash! Better than samsung's. I find the 6680 to be a really competent phone. Heck, i'm using it to type this reply!

Got a nokia for a city slicker here in london
and the dummy went and overloaded the phone with images so the phone is now hanging on the start screen i think it needs a reset problem is i can get into the phone to do so
is there any advice from any of you guys

A possible explanation to why the 6680 is slower in jbenchmark is that it has to render a lot of extra colors.

Snake EX works without lag, and thats about how far my gaming interrest go on a business phone...

Love the two cameras, and the active standby screen !

Is a good fone. except..... u need to close most of the application when u wants to take phone...... there is no auto keylock...... speaker still soft...... vibration is so gentle tat if u put in pocket u dun feel it....auto light sensor make u think tat your keypad light spolit..... hahaha other then this i think is a good fone....

Hey man.. i just bought the 6681.. however, i wasn't able to find any good software for the same..
i used the ProfiExplorer 6630.. but this doesn't work in mine at all..
no other applications that used to work on my old 6600 or 6630 work in a 6681 or 6680..

If you have some resource for such apps and stuf please lemme know..
atleast u can guide to the place where i can get stuf.. thanx..

Man, quite interesting... Well, if you take a closer look to the "JBenchmark3D Best Result details" table, you will notice that a 6630, is much much much better than THE KING (XBOX that is). Obviously the 6630 has a fill rate of 2200 KTexels/s, while Xbox has 1860 KTexels/s. Don't let me even get started with the polygons. Odd....
