8910 - Hands Free logo on permantly

I have recently had to attempt a repair of a 8910, replaced the ribbon and microphone. Now the phone is always in handsfree mode, even though nothing is plugged in. Charging works, so does vibration.

Is this likely to be a software problem? Is it worth flashing the firmware? Has anybody had a similar problem?

I would appreciate any views or advice.

facing the same problem.i replaced my flex ribbon and then the handsfree logo is there permanently.you solved it?
