I'm trying to change the PHILIPS BGY 252 (900Mhz RF amplifier) on a 3210 (w/ a GD7_25 board) but it has a different config. w/ the PF01411B. If anyone knows how to do it pls. post here.

I want to replace the PHILIPS BGY 252 with the metal cased PF01411B since it's the only 900Mhz RF Amp available in my place(I think so) and if the BGY 252 is available, the hot air would melt the plastic casing so I would not want to use it anyway.

Does anyone out there has a better solution?

yes - you can heat PCB from other side (first take off elements) and put bgy252 - i did it many times

Thanks a lot gorandj!!!

Maybe I'll try it when I can get my hands on the elusive BGY252. As of now I only have the PF01411B.

Thats very nice of you gorandj, but I was able to get some though they're scrapped from dead units.

By the way your technique works. Thanks a lot!!!:) :) :)
