View Full Version : rs-mmc 512 MB - will it work on 6630?
Hi guys!
I've been watching this forum for a couple of weeks and I really liked it :)
I see you know a lot about mobile phones so I decided to ask you:
Will Nokia 6630 be able to use RS-MMC 512 MB?
Is SanDisk RS-MMC (http://www.sandisk.com/retail/rs-mmc.asp) ok?
Do you now any European shops with such an equipment (with low price ;))?
Thanks a lot :)

The nokia 6630 only takes DV-RS MMC and not the "OLD" RS MMC.
Dont know why nok1a did this. They say that it uses less battery power. I can't tell ya if a 512 will work or not, because it will cost you a arm & leg to buy that size at the mo...A 256 DV-RS MMC will cost ya £40 in england, thats the cheapest i have seen it,(if ne1 has seen a cheaper 1 let us know please). But still I think that the Nok1a 6630 is the best phone I have owned.
256 for £40? I found in Polish shop (http://sklep.komputronik.pl/pelny.php?id=17129) RS-MMC 256 MB for 112 Zlotys (which is ~£19), but I have no idea is it dual-voltage (however shop says it's intended for Nokia mobiles).
So guys, isn't there ANY DV-RS MMC 512 MB on market?
And how can I make sure if the card which I'm looking on is Dual Voltage or not?
Thanks.

its should be written DV or DualVoltage
if its not than it is ordinary (single voltage) RS MMC which u can use with 7610 and (with adapter) other nokia phones
biggest DV RS MMC is till now 256 and is bardzo expensive :)
What a pity...
Do you think DV-RS-MMC 512 MB will be available in this year?
btw nice Polish 2more ;) how do you know it? ;)
well rs-512 can't go into 6630...nor an normal 512 mmc too...
but i felt that...Rs-mmc is still better than DV...
