Hi all,

Just thought I would share my latest patch.

This is the same old true_7_bars.nrx by [YAK] with multiple skin support and in-phone chooser :D
Basically it works like screen savers where u 'clone' the script and change the pram to the skin file you wish to add.

I added some of my own skins also.
This is only an early beta release so expect a few little bugs.
I already know about the zones problem :)

Theoretically this should work on all phones the original true_7_bars worked on. by that I don’t promise any thing tho :)

PS: There was a small update of true_7_bars.nrx in my last scripts development snapshot. Zones searching pattern failed on 3330/5510. Now it's ok. I don't know if this also applies to your version but mentioning couldn't do any harm :).

But Can You make this script on v1.5 of Yak's true_7_bars.nrx script ?? there are some bugs repaired :)

btw. Work on 5510, 3310, 3330, but in some bars the refresh dosent work... some pixels are visable when i'm in menu...

On my next release I shall do. As for the pixels left behind this is caused because the script modifies the zones to the first skin used in the que of skins to be added, so if the first skin to be added has smaller zones then the next skin to be added the second skin will not render correctly. I need to make a system to create zones that will resize to all skins in my next release. ;)

Doesn't the logfile after patching the 4>7 bars have what U looking for?

All 4>7 file changes are shown in Mr. Yak's Nokix 4>7 script logfile.

U can generate Ur own addresses for each phonetype.

open the UNMODEFIED Flash File in PPMedit...
then tick the view screen button, you can see there the original x & y position of bars...

Hi guys! I found some bugs in this script. Mr Spaceimpact33, are You foreseeing any updates of true7bars with skin support? It would fantastic :) I noticed bug under NHM-5 6.39 - script doesn't work correctlly :( In "desktop" isn't any bar, all is invisible, without "Menu" word, clock and network information title. But when I'm turning off the phone, and my battery is charging, the battery bars are showing one after second. By the way - latest t7b of Yak's snapshot works great on this platform (6.39), maybe You can (if You want), mr Spaceimpact33 modify this script one more time? :) Regards :]

How come if you try and make the bars wider than 5 pixels, it gets screwed up? Even if you move out the the operator zone so they won't interfear. You end up with some kind of split bar which responds differently to the change in signal. Try this on the skin to see what I mean.

It's like a hidden zone 5 pixels wide where it works fine and anywhere outside it goes wrong. Is this defined in the script or is it in the firmware?

Hi,

Every seperate logo is builtup from a square base which makes it is impossible to make logos overlapping eachother.

However, with some creativity and using the erase logo in a smart way, I think the layout U want is possible.

But then again, there are no tools for such modifications available.

I posted some links in the above replies, these lead U to the theory behind the whole 4>7 bars development.

If U are capable of manually hexediting flashfiles the hard way, most needed info can be found there.

That 5 width limit is a practicle one, there are width definitions at 3 places:

1. the 0z0ne definitions.
2. the battery and network logos themselves.
3. inside in the draw battery and network logo functions.

From my head, Nokix only changes the 2 & 3, but with some creativity and Mr. Joox ppmedit tool U can visibly adjust the 0z0ne definitions Urself.

It is easy to make new zone definitions, as long as U keep in mind what U increase on one side, has to be lowered on another side.

So using ppmedit wisely needs alot of study of the current layout, before U can change it.

And yes, ms-paint is a rather nice tool which I used myself often before I started my modding.

It looks like Nokix changes display zones fine (there is a part of the script that calculates it) but not in the battery and network logo functions in the firmware as far as i can see. :-?
PPMEdit can't see all the new 7 bars on a modified flash and if you use PPMEdit before Nokix mod, then Nokix can't find the original function.
