6600 not working, number 2 under battery strenght, help

Hi, my nokia 6600 battery ran out whilst I was at work so as you do I charged it when I got home.
After putting my phone on charge I turned it on and tried to ring someone and it wouldnt ring I just hear a beep beep beep, I think it means number not recognized. I have even tried ringing the number to check my balance and that doesnt work.
I have also noticed a number 2 underneath where the battery strength indicator on the right hand side is. What does this mean????
I have tried taking the memory card out and that makes no difference, but if I try the sim card in another phone it works so it cant be the sim card.
Anybody got any ideas???????

The 2 represents the line you are using (Line 2), change it to line 1 again by going to call settings, then you see the LIne in use, set it to line 1. You can now make a call.

yeap, mark is correct, and just for ur info, holdin the hex key will change the line to line 2, so u could avoid that by locking ur keypad.
