I just got a nokia 3650 from my friend, he just got a new phone, and didnt need it, it has a dead SIM card and stuff, so its usable, but no calls except emergency (911)

Whats all this unlock code and stuff?

can i get free phone with it?
how, i know its an AT&T sim card???

eh, unlocking is used when ur phone is locked to a network, so u cannot use other network's sim card in it.

there are calcs to unlock ur phone, if u need, look around the dct 4 sections, the unlocker is somewhere there. pls read the faqs b4 u attempt, only 5 tries else u need to cable unlock it!

The only thing is, i dont want to mess the phone up or anything :confused:

how do i do it so i get it on the first try...?

and how do i know what the GEN is?

BTW, does the 3650 play MP3's that are on the memory stick (its 15mb)

regarding unlocking a symbian phone.... in this case, a 6600

use the v2 gen, asic 5. if ur in the uk, try #1 code 1st, else try #7 code. u can double check this with dct 4 unlocking forum, or refer to faqs.

yes, 3650 can play mp3, but the output is mono. u need to install an app, one such app which is good is ultramp3. where to get it? irc. theres a irc faq in symbian faqs for u. and would be good if u invested in a bigger mmc ;)

btw, with 3650, u might still hear sounds coming out of phone as u play the mp3, even with a earpiece plugged in. to solve this, u need to plug in the earpiece, slowly, bit by bit till u get no sound from handset, then plug it all in. u will know when u start listening to mp3s on a 3650 :-P

should i do AT&T wireless w/ IMEI: .....
because the imei (the first few #'s are) 351102502 so does that mean i should do that?

yeap, use that option of US AT & T 35 blah blah... if ur imei is the same that is.
