Unlock Settings for Nokia 3220 Orange UK - Star Wars

Hi

After reading other posts, I am confident these are the settings to use for the Nokia 3220 RH37 on Orange Pay as you go. The phone I unlocked was the Star Wars edition, but I'm sure its the same for the normal Nokia 3220.

You need to download the calculator.
Asic 2 & Original (32779) are the settings.

After reading another post with problems after unlocking, I first tried the 5th code. It unlocked.
When trying the 7th code it said "phone restriction was already off".

I believe therefore that code 5 or 7 will work fine!

Am very new at this so please forgive me for any mistakes.
I have got that same phone as you (sw nokia 3220) and I tried the setting that worked for you lot and it failed for me, I tried 3 time and yes it filed 3 times. so I whet to a unlocking forum and asked for a unlocking code. I'm very coureous why my phone unlocked on different setting from all you guys. maybe my firmware is different from you lot I don't know but if any one has any ideas why please let me know because it's really killing not knowing.

Was this an Orange Pay As You Go United Kingdom?
I'm suprised the settings didn't work, although you have to be careful and use the downloaded calculator rather than the one online, because the one online doesn't use Original box number.
Did you use the download or online version?

Thanks for replying, yeh this is a Orange Pay As You Go. In United Kingdom.
What happened was that I tried to unlock it using the program called DCT4 Calculatator by CYBERDOG & HOLLOWMAN V1.4. (which I already had download and used before to unlock my dad's 3510i and my wife's 3100 without any problems.
I set it to calculate using v2 codes and set to type 2 lock not type 5.).

The code that I have tried on the 3220 are:
#pw+889441214766144+1#
#pw+092933227001530+5#
#pw+733560560177063+7#

I then went to on of the unlock forums and gave my phone details and was sent back the unlock code:

#pw+743550560177063+7#

and that worked, grate but I didn't know how he had done it or why my calculator program failed me for the first time.
I couldn't stand not knowing so I plugged my phone detail in to my calculator program and played about with the settings. until found one that output the same code key # 7 as the one that working one I was given. (#pw+743550560177063+7#).
These are the settings that produced a output code key # 7 matched the working key:
Asic 2 & Box serial 32821(Asic 6).

So how did they know to use the box serial 32821(Asic 6) setting straight away instead of v2 and do I use the Asic 6 setting on all future phone unlocking.
I sorry about all the questions it's just I don't like not knowing why I failed.
So if you or any one else has any answers or ideas about my questions then please, please let me know.

I have had two attempts using some nokia calculator to unlock my new purchase
Nokia 3220 star wars pack from woolies
both were unsuccessful and i think if i have a third go my phone will lock up

what is the best prog to use for this task and which code is usually the best option to go for

I dont fancy barring my phone and I only want to use my virgin sim in it as Orange can be pricey.

The calculator I was using was the one in the link below:

Click Here (http://www.download.com/NokiaFREE-unlock-codes-calculator/3000-2641-10318195.html?part=dl-NokiaFREE&subj=dl&tag=button)

Download and install that, then try producing codes by selecting your phone, UK, Orange, and select "Original" as the box.
See if these codes are different to the ones you've tried. In my experience, the 5th or 7th code will work, but if you are unsure then post back here.

I've unlocked half a dozen Orange PAYG Star wars phones using Asic 2, Original, and Code 7 using the downloaded NokiaFREE calc with no problems. Never had to bother with code 5 and have checked every phone using a Virgin sim.

I have just unlocked the Nokia 3220 using code 7, however am having trouble with the Virgin SIM. The first screen asks for PIN Code. When I enter the four digit PIN code for my Virgin SIM card, nothing happens.
Can anyone help on this one?

All the 3220 ive unlocked i have used ASIC 2 box ASIC 6 code #5 Worked on every single one of them, bout 20 in total.

I'd try ringing Virgin, they may be of some help, as it shouldn't be an issue with the phone.
