Problem unlocking 3220

I am trying to unlock a new Nokia 3220 locked to Tmobile. I have calculated the codes, removed the sim, and typed in the code. My phone does nothing I don't get a success or failure. The code just stays on the screen. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried using a sim card from another carrier to check to see if it was unlocked without me knowing it and I get a Phone restricted message.

Any ideas??

I have read in other threads that you have to insert the sim card and then enter the code, I would imagine that you enter the sim card of the provider you wish to change to.

A quick search around should confirm this.

Are you sure you're entering the correct code as i've never heard of this problem, you didnt miss a number?

Yes I am sure I am entering the code right. I have tried a few times with different codes. I have never seen this before either. Thanks for any help. I also tried to enter the code with the sim in no luck.

Simple question to check, how long is the code you entered : 15 (+ 1 for lock level) digits I hope !

newer firmware version need sim card inside

sim card inside MUST be from different operator tha the operator that locked the phone is locked to

That worked!! I had to put a sim for another carrier in the phone and then type the code. Thanks for the idea

Hi, i am having the same prob with nk 3220 tmobile usa. when i put the code without the sim card, no response. with a diff carrier sim, it says phone restricted, then i can only press undo restriction. when i press it, it asks me for the code and when i put the code it says wrong code. please help. my imei is ( 355006007991092 ). thanks

No codes can be given out, generate the code yourself, download the calc and use Asic 2, box serial Asic 6 on the calc and use code 1
