What is lost after reset?

I am planning to do a hard reset on my nokia 6600 and i am concerned about losing text messages. Will i lose them or is there anyway of transferring them somewhere to be saved??

Hello Mate,
Contacts, settings and also Messages are going to be lost when you hard reset your phone, but you can backup your message by using SeleQ or any file manager, just copy the mail folder on drive c to the mail folder of your mmc, you can find the mail folder of phone in c:/system/mail/. Using of card reader make the works so easily.. You can backup all your contacts on pc suite or copy all your contacts on your sim then restore it after a hard reset.

Thx but i seem to be unable to copy the files properly using FExplorer, it leaves the folders created as empty?

Right Ive transferred all the Mail files now how do i get them back successfully after the reset onto the phone memory?

Just move them back to c:/system/mail/
