Really, is there still no calculator for vodaphone?

It is a shame. the unit is really great but too bad we can't use it outside the service provider's rea of covereage. :(

i dont recon we will get a calculator much before the end of the year, there need to be a box solution first then about a month after that there will be a calculator, as there is no box solution or one expected soon, you are goin to have to phone up service provider and request unlock code, thats what i did

that is true need you need to be valid with the service provider, as the phone isnt on pay as you go vodafone i can see the logic there, looks like you are in for a long wait

it means as there are no 6630's on pay as you go for vodafone in this country , you need to be a contract holder with them for them to release the codes to you. i'm in the 3g boat my self those gready bastards hate people unlocking their phones so they won't release the codes even though i have a contract with them.

sorry for not making myself clear, the reason vodaphone have locked the handset is they want you to use the handset withtheir network, they have subsidised the price of the handset for customers, if you are on pay as you go you can just chuck the sim away and use a different network, vodafone dont want to subsidise the price for use on another network the idea is to draw them to the network!! if you are on contract you by law have to pay them for up to 12 months so they get something

only unlocking to contract customers is protection to them

oh ok thanx so we all have to wait till they decide to relaese the codes??
why couldnt vodafone just say that in the fistplace instead of making me put 20 quid on ma fone :x
