Hello :)

My boss got a 6600 recently./ It is the same as mine, also same firmware version (4.09.1) but hers is T-Mobile branded.

I copied my MMC card to hers (she bought a 1-Gig as well) and almost everything worked except apps that were to be registered. Those i removed from the MMC and installed them fresh - worked.

BUT....

I can't install ANY Psiloc apps! IrRemote, WorldClock, eRecorder........ the apps just won't install. Putting the SIS files on MMC and opening them with the file explorer results in - nothing at all. Any other app installs fine.

Did T-Mobile block that or is it a dodgy phone? The apps are confirmed working in MY phone. Not even the trial versions will install, but ONLY Psiloc!

Other question is, is there a way to get rid of the T-Mobile screensaver that comes up after 30 seconds or so? The phone screensaver is set to "time and date" which does work after one minute. But the T-Mobile one can be stopped somehow, or? it's not too great a bother tough.

Last question - in "Go To" menu are several T-Mobile related shortcuts. i can't seem to find a way to delete those, they don't show up in the "favourites" folder when using a file manager. These use up some space on the screen because my boss liikes to have a lot of her apps in that menu for easy access. Here in Bangkok anything to do with T-Mobile is useless because here's no T-Mobile. The phone came unlocked but was meant for the south american market.

Thank you for any advise......

Kind regards....

Thanh

maybe there are corrupted ex-psiloc files, u could try a format of mmc?

about the t-mobile thingy, if its in the firmware, u need to get a fresh flash. (format ur phone to see if its still there)

Hello :)

Thank you very much for reply. I have tried both methods already, even on a "virgin" MMC that has nothing on it the Psiloc things won't install. That was on a fgreshly formatted phoner as well, so for sure also in the phone were no Psiloc files.

And yes, the T-Mobile stuff stays after format too... seems to be within firmware. Luckily the left-key shortcut to T-Zones could be changed :)

Kind regards.....
