Nokia 6630 pc suite problem

Hi there,

I installed pc-suite that comes along wif my 6630 ver 6.48 into my xp pro. I can sync via bluetooth without problem. However, i cant sync via the usb cable DKU-2 provided inside the 6630.

Hence, i tried to download the usb driver and installed pc-suite ver 6.5. This ver gives the possibility to sync via bluetooth and usb cable. The usb cable works flawlessly but anyhow the bluetooth connection failed whenever i connect it....The installation process is either always in idle mode or not working (sync via bluetooth).

Now, does anyone here encountered this similiar problem. At this moment i uninstalled the latest pc-suite 6.5 and reinstalled back the ver 6.48 because transferring files via bluetooth is really important to me.

Can someone pls provide me a solution on how to syn via bluetooth and usb cable (DKU-2) without problem?

Make sure your phone isn't connected to PC Suite by bluetooth (The icon in the system tray is grey and your bluetooth dongle is removed). Right click the grey PC Suite icon in the sys tray and select "Phone Selector". The phone selector window opens. Click on "Connection..." and make sure the tick is in the "USB (DKU-2)" box and there is no tick in the bluetooth box. click ok. Connect your phone using the usb cable and it should connect. Do the same again if you want to reconnect using bluetooth but check the bluetooth box.

i also had that prob, maybe it's some bug that comes with that version of PC Suite.
i solved it by downloading a newer version from NOKIA.com

Well, i tested but the sync via BT is too slow and sometimes idle especially when the file installed or transferred is >100 kb. Cant stand the long wait so uninstalled the v6.5.12 and reinstalled the original 6.48

Hope that nokia can come out with a solution soon. At the moment, only can sync via BT and not DKU-2 cable...but i really cant do without BT.

Oh..u need to install the latest v6.5.12 in order to have USB connection. But believe me don try it coz you will have problem in BT sync!!
