New Voice Message On Line 2

Hi All,

Long time lurker - first time posting! :)

Just upgraded to a 3230 on O2 online contract.

Whenever I get a new text message or missed call, in fact everytime I do anything I get a message coming up saying

"new voice message on line 2"

This is really doing my head in now - o2 are useless - nokia say its not thier problem - I really like this phone and dont wanna send it back!

my firmware version is V3.0505.2 / 19-02-05 / RM-51

Would it be worth taking it to my local carphone warehouse or should I junk it and get something else?

You should only get a line 2 message if you actually have line 2!! Do you pay extra each month for Line2? In theory its just something that is activated / deactivated on your sim. Ask O2 to either try it with a shop use sim in it to see if it happens with their sim and is therefore a phone fault - if it only happens with your sim in, get them to give you a new sim card.

Had a new SIM card off them - made no difference, still happpens if I put my online PAYG card in - i'm at a loss now, as i like the phone a lot - but if its going to mess around like this i'm going to have to junk it.
