Hi all,

I've bought a nokia 7710 and I am unable to make calls (from a sim I know works)?

It tells me there are 'active diverts'.

I've tried to cancel all barrings but I'm asked for a 'barring password'

How do I get this code?

The phone was bought new but not from a retailer so contacting the service provider as suggested in the manual is not really viable.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Simon

Ok, it's even worse. There are not call diverts active?? (you can check the status without having to enter the password).

What does this mean? Can the service provider put a barr on the phone (not the sim) and if so can I remove this without having to contact them?

thanks

Simon

The barring pass code is same as your pin code. If the sim card is new, the default pin is 1234.

It's something unrelated to the sim as I have 2 different sims which work on other phones but when in the 7710 they can't dial out?

Thanks
