newbie always hope that someone kind enough to teach him, they just want a shortcut to success.

There is already a powerful tools for them, but don't want to learn or use.

everybody here knows how to add a startup tone... they just want you to search for the old thread coz it was discussed a long long time ago...

anywayz...

use hex workshop and look for FD51250B46C00001FFA70C0B

FD or FC is the start of the tone...

highlight at least 26 bytes and copy/paste 26 bytes of your desired binary tone... save and checksum... that's it.

Hi,

>> everybody here knows how to add a startup tone...

I doubt!
That method also kills other tones.

Better way, like an example for 331x-557:

The startup tone data:
(16) 11BE10 (008.) (0001FFA70C0B46C0)

The tone data definition records:
(16) 11C1A4 : 0031BE10 0002 0000

Here is where the record points to the start of the tonedata: 0031BE10 (-20.0000)

Since the 8 bytes is not sufficient to make a new longer tone, U can place Ur new tone in free available space, like between the mcu and the ppm.

Eg in 557 at loc 12B910. (check first if all is FF's there)

Now change the record pointer at 11C1A4 from 0031BE10 to 0032B910.

And make sure Ur new tonedata end correct, with the appropriate 0B end!
Recalc mcu & flash check, in eg CrcFixer by Mr. Joox.

Good Luck.
